Here’s what our work looks like
QuakeLab audit
The QuakeLab Audit is a thorough assessment of multiple areas of your organization, specifically: Communications, HR, Management and Governance, DEI, Programs and Products, and Finance and Accounting. We run an assessment using four main types of data collection, analysis and reporting:
Document review or content analysis
The QuakeLab Survey
Empathy Interviews
Secondary data analysis
We capture our insight in the QuakeLab Data Story which identifies your most urgent challenges (pain points) with a focused equity lens, quick wins that you can begin tackling immediately, and Truth and Reconciliation calls to action that you are well positioned to tackle. We strongly recommend pairing this work with long term support like QuakeCare!
QuakeCare
Whether you've worked with QuakeLab before and are looking for some additional support, or you've never worked with us but are in need of experienced external consultants to help support and strengthen your organizational processes and outcomes, QuakeCare is for you! QuakeCare is a program that gives you access to a full in-house team, tools, and expertise for a fraction of the cost. Read more about your three QuakeCare options.
Policy Development
QuakeLab is uniquely focused on structural change, which means we focus on the systems, policies and procedures that inform organizations and institutions. We have invested time and effort into building a processes and framework to assess, dismantle and rebuild impactful, future-proof policies embedded with equity.
We work with the core knowledge that the foundational structures making up our organizations and institutions are outdated and often inequitable. This means we do not take for granted that policies should be based on best practice alone. We work hard to ensure the policy work we do together designs for all and address inequity.
Custom Facilitation
The QuakeLab team has worked with the City of Ottawa, OLIP, City of Toronto, Life Sciences Ontario and more to facilitate action-oriented, engaging and custom sessions.
We work with you to identify your intended outcomes, audience and challenges being addressed in order to custom design and facilitate your workshops, community engagement processes and engagements.
QL Sprint Session or Equity As A Technical Skill
A QL Sprint guides you through the process of building equity into the processes and outcomes of the work you do, everyday. Rather than focus on building knowledge in an isolated environment, QL Sprint helps you identify the equity challenges in your functional role, identify ways to respond to these inequities, and leaves you with an action plan for your specific work and role. Fill out our QL Sprint intake form and we'll schedule a call to kick things off!
